O objetivo deste trabalho de investiga��o � que o estado psicol�gico forne�a informa��es sobre algumas perturba��es, �teis no diagn�stico de depress�o, mania ou esquizofrenia. A elimina��o de erros devidos a reflexos na imagem ainda n�o foi implementada, mas os algoritmos utilizados neste projeto s�o computacionalmente eficientes para resolver erros. Tamb�m foram envidados esfor�os neste projeto para melhorar a taxa de reconhecimento da dete��o do estado de esp�rito, adotando uma metodologia �nica. Neste trabalho de investiga��o, aceit�mos sete estados de esp�rito diferentes a serem reconhecidos: Alegria, Medo, Desprezo, Tristeza, Nojo, Raiva e Surpresa. A An�lise de Componentes Principais (PCA) � implementada com o Algoritmo FisherFace para reconhecer diferentes estados de esp�rito. A parte principal deste projeto consiste em reconhecer com elevada precis�o os estados emocionais faciais presentes num dos dados da base de dados.
