About The Book

Skydiving Duke and his Parachute is a children's book based on a true story.

The book starts out with cartoon illustrations and later comes alive with real-life pictures.

K9 Duke was originally part of a family with small children, but the environment was not a good fit.

Duke was placed up for adoption.

Duke was very sad and lonely. He began to dream of flying and being free. Duke talked to the birds, the bees, the butterflies, and the hawks.

They all laughed and teased him, saying that he would never fly.

Later on, Duke was adopted by Officer A.C. who would make all of his dreams become a reality.

Together, they proved to the world that anything is possible.

If you can dream it, you can do it, so dream big!

K9 Duke has skydived out of an airplane from 14,500 feet, on four different occasions. K9 Duke is a 95-pound, full-blooded Doberman Pinscher. He was born in August 2015, in the country of Hungary. Skydiving Duke has been nationally recognized on TV and was even featured in the December 2018 issue of People magazine. Coker, Alex: - Alex grew up hunting, fishing, and camping near Memphis, TN. He is a survivalist at heart and is prepared for anything. He considers himself a "Human Swiss Army Knife." Alex continues to serve in law enforcement as a Firearms Instructor, Active Shooter Instructor, Tactical Medical Instructor, and an Executive Protection Officer for VIPs. He works with kids in the schools as a positive role model. Coker thrives in public relations and conducts TV news interviews dealing with law enforcement and public safety.In Coker's off-time, he is a USPA AFF/Tandem Skydive Instructor, Videographer, Extreme High-Altitude 41,000FT HALO O2 Team, and FAA Senior Parachute Rigger at West Tennessee Skydiving in Whiteville, TN. Alex has logged thousands of jumps to his name.
