From beloved yogi, teacher, and artist Elena Brower comes the writer's debut collection of poetry: a lyrical exploration of grief, self-compassion, and learning from the past to navigate life's challenges with grace.

Softening Time is both autobiography and self-help, poetry and inspiration. Drawing on events in her own life, particularly her experiences as a mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Brower writes poignantly on themes of love, loss, healing, and rebirth.

Punctuating her work with themed quotations from a wide variety of celebrated writers and thinkers, Brower guides the reader along an intimate journey of both deepening and "softening" self-awareness.

Brower, Elena: - Mama, teacher, artist, bestselling author, and host of the Practice You Podcast, Elena Brower has taught yoga and meditation since 1999. Her first book, Art of Attention, has been translated into seven languages, and her second, Practice You, is a bestseller. Her third book, Being You, was released in early 2021. Elena's yoga and meditation classes are on Glo.com and her Essential Mentorship is beloved for bringing analog creativity to online coursework. She oversees a global team of teachers with doTERRA, and her spoken word work can be heard on Above & Beyond's Flow State albums.

Pueblo, Yung: - Diego Perez was born in Ecuador and immigrated to the United States as a child. He grew up in Boston and attended Wesleyan University. During a silent Vipassana meditation course in 2012, he saw that real healing and liberation were possible. He became more committed to his meditation practice while living in New York City. The results he witnessed firsthand moved him to describe his experiences in writing.

The penname yung pueblo means "young people" and is meant to convey that humanity is entering an era of remarkable growth and healing, when many will expand their self-awareness and release old burdens.

Diego's online presence as yung pueblo, as well as his books, are meant to serve those undertaking their own journey of personal transformation.

Today, Diego resides in Western Massachusetts with his wife, where they live quietly and meditate daily.
