He is also a life member of various professional bodies such as Indian Society of Mechanical Engineers (ISME), Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE), Indian Society of Ergonomics (ISE), Operational Research Society of India (ORSI), and Indian Institution of Production Engineers (IIPE).|M. KUMAR is Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Jawahar Engineering College, Chennai. He has more than 10 years of experience in teaching engineering mechanics, theory of machines, and design of machine elements. His areas of interest include vibration and noise control, fracture mechanics and composite mechanics. He is a life member of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE).
