He received his doctoral degree from Cambridge University in 1979 and is currently?registered as a professional civil engineer in the state of Florida.?His research interests include, bioremediation, smart clay as a barrier for landfills, seismic behavior of soils and foundation systems, and erosion from hydropower dams.
