Les quatre Vingt dix sonnets de ce recueil sont présentés chronologiquement dans l'ordre de leur écriture. Ils sont de l'année 2020, c'est ce qui explique le "V" majuscule à l'intérieur du nombre "quatre Vingt dix". Ils esquissent une mince tranche de vie, une simple année Vingt. Certains de ces sonnets se sont déjà fait connaître par une lecture à voix haute, sur internet, dans une websérie intitulée #UnJourUnSonnet (vidéos publiées quotidiennement de Mars à Mai 2020). Mais beaucoup d'entre-eux sont ici publiés pour la première fois. Je leur ai adjoint quinze rondeaux destinés à illustrer des néologismes créés arbitrairement par moi-même, en dilettante (saura-t-on jamais si j'ai fait oeuvre utile ou futile?). J'ai eu envie de partager les ouvertures infinies que peuvent susciter ces formes d'écritures brèves... On y croise quelques musiciens: Franz Schubert (1797-1828), Jan-Pieterszoon Sweelinck (1562-1621), Jean-Sébastien Bach (1685-1750), des chats, des flâneurs, des artistes, Aphrodite, un écureuil, des souvenirs, une mésange, des éloges, Orphée, un plafonnier, des arbres, des nuages, un aspirateur, des invitations, des regards... La silhouette d'une danseuse de samba s'y élance... Les sons de la langue y affrontent les flottements de sens. De ces frottements peuvent naître des invitations à penser, à sourire, à rêver, à imaginer, à explorer poétiquement les richesses et les rythmes d'une multiplicité de lectures possibles. Ces textes sont des expériences d'écriture lancées dans l'atmosphère.

Pierre Thiry ne peut pas s'empêcher d'écrire. Il est "écriveur" ou chercheur d'écrits comme on est chercheur d'or. Il anime régulièrement des ateliers d'écriture.
