Solares, Luis Fernando Gil: -

Es periodista y licenciado en ciencias de la comunicación, egresado de la Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala. Obtuvo un Profesorado en Filosofía en la Universidad Católica de Costa Rica. Ha ejercido como mezclador de pintura, cajero de supermercado, docente, reportero-redactor en medios impresos, editor, comunicador, capacitador e investigador. Es un apasionado de la historia y la literatura, en especial de las crónicas de Manuel José Arce y los cuentos de Poe; fan de los existencialistas, admirador de las pinturas de Monet y de los relatos mitológicos, de espantos y aparecidos. Disfruta de una taza de café observando el atardecer o escuchando canciones de Queen, The Doors y Pink Floyd, así como de Caifanes y los Fabulosos Cadillacs. Su espiritualidad se basa en disfrutar las pequeñas cosas de la vida.
En 2014 obtuvo el Premio Hunn al periodismo arqueológico que otorga el Museo Popol Vuh con el reportaje La Ermita se viste de fiesta, en los 400 años de edificación de la Ermita del Cerrito del Carmen.
En 2016 publicó el libro 50 años bajo la mirada misericordiosa del Cristo Negro, que trata sobre la historia de la colonia Mariscal, zona 11, y de la parroquia Esquipulitas, al cumplirse medio siglo de su creación.
