While a face may be considered a head, a head does not necessarily carry a face. Between 2015 and 2017, German artist Max Neuman, known for painting anonymous figures, drew a series of heads. Max Neumann is a German artist whose works are part of numerous public and private collections such as Neue Nationalgalerie, Hamburger Kunsthalle, Fondation Maeght, and Seibu Museum of Art. Hubertus von Amelunxen is a cultural theorist, historian, and curator. He is the director of the Archivio Conz in Berlin.
