The home they are returning to, however, is not the same home they left behind. A changed economy, broken relationships, new educational opportunities, children born to them during the war, and family expectations all await them. They must meet this new world while trying to escape the horrific one of war they just left behind. The war has also changed the women. Many are reluctant to give up the jobs and freedoms given to them during a time when it was up to them to keep the home front running.

Ava Stilwell's world keeps expanding even after the war. Can she balance being a new wife with college and her burgeoning musical career? Can her cousin Rosemary continue to work and be with the man she truly loves? How does one war widow cope with her grief and enter the life of Carson Stilwell? World War II has changed the world and the Stilwell family forever, but faith and love continue to sustain them.

Song of Return is an inspirational, historical fiction novel and the second book of The War Song Series.

I love to write! Since graduating from Samford University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, my writing career has been diverse to say the least. I have written everything from government grants to monthly articles on popular wrestling personalities to Christian dramas. I have had more than 100 articles published in magazines such as American Fitness, Missions Mosaic, and Christian Single. I have also helped raise over $20,000,000 in funding for nonprofit organizations. Whether it is travel articles, annual reports, magazine articles, fundraising pieces, or video scripts, I just love the writing process, but my greatest love is creative writing. I won a Creative Writing Award from Samford University for a short story and published my first novel in 2013. Now, I am excited to publish the second novel of The War Song Series! Outside of writing, I am an AFAA-certified group fitness instructor who loves to travel and hang out with my wonderful husband and two boys. One of my greatest joys is cuddling up as family and reading together. Hopefully, my sons will inherit their mother's love for reading and writing!
