Dazu sollen auch die Kritiken an den Konzepten und Vorgehensweisen beleuchtet und nachvollziehbar gemacht werden. Diese Arbeit zeigt zudem Verknüpfungen zwischen sozialpolitischen Aktivierungsstrategien beyiehungsweise der zunehmenden Förderung und auch Forderung von ehrenamtlichem Engagement und der Fokussierung auf das Konzept der Sozialraumorientierung auf. Welche Chancen und welche Herausforderungen birgt die Verpflichtung zur Nutzung ehrenamtlicher Ressourcen für die Soziale Arbeit? Welcher Strategien zur Profilschärfung und Abgrenzung von professioneller und ehrenamtlicher Arbeit bedarf es und wie kann die Soziale Arbeit sich davor schützen, die Verlagerung von gesellschaftlich verursachten Problemlagen ins Private zu reproduzieren? Der Begriff der Sozialraumorientierung dominiert bereits seit einigen Jahren sowohl sozialpolitische Diskurse als auch die Theorie und Praxis der Sozialen Arbeit. In fast allen zentralen Handlungsfeldern der Sozialen Arbeit ist die Sozialraumorientierung als obligatorischer Bestandteil der Arbeit verankert worden. Auch auf kommunaler Ebene, unter anderem in Programmpapieren und in der Verwaltung, lässt sich eine starke Fokussierung auf sozialräumliche Strategien und Ma nahmen feststellen.
