An Academy Award night jewel heist in Hollywood. An international insurance investigator. What happens when Jake falls for Elena, the sassy jeweler-to-the-stars he's investigating? A fun, circle-of-friends series from a USA Today bestselling author.
When jeweler Elena Eaton is ensnared in a daring jewelry heist on the night of the Academy Awards, she discovers that nothing in La La Land is as it seems. As her sterling reputation and private life suddenly turn into celebrity tabloid fodder, a family emergency propels her back to her hometown of Sydney, Australia.
With her family's rare blue diamonds from India missing and her career in jeopardy, her problems mount when an infuriatingly handsome insurance investigator, Jake Greyson, suspects her of involvement in the robbery and follows her to Sydney, Australia. After a night at the opera and a walk on the beach, Elena and Jake soon find themselves more attracted to each other than either of them had planned-but Jake can't betray his professional duty. After Elena returns to Hollywood, Jake's mother, a golden-age film star, organizes a fundraiser and calls on her for help-despite Jake's protests. But can Elena trust Jake with her grandmother's carefully guarded secret regarding the rare blue diamonds and their true origin?
