About The Book

In this book, the International Referee of the World Boxing Council, J. Guadalupe Garcia Gonzalez, will tell us some of his stories in his journey around the world, refereeing world championship bouts.
He will also tell us from his particular point of view about the fights he attended as a Boxing Referee. There, we will be able to understand in a better way, the reason of the decisions that we watch from the television and that at times we are unable to understand.

This work is really innovative, because it will lead us to have the point of view of the only person who is on the boxing ring during the fights, plus the boxers standing.
Throughout the book, the author tells us all the stories that happen when someone travels around the world. He mentions the care and precautions that must be taken to go to referee in other countries and the need to consider certain issues that can solve many problems. At the same time, Lupe Garcia gives some important tips on the correct processes and procedures that a referee must follow during the course of the fights and in the face of eventualities of difficult decisions, thus contributing to the training of future international boxing referees, who can use the vast experience of the author in this work, which he offers us in a straight and kind way.

In turn, some contributors to the book, show the importance of academic training for professionals who want to devote themselves to professional boxing, as multiple aspects of medical nature are of vital importance in their knowledge to safeguard the physical integrity of the fighters.
