About The Book

The aim of this book is to serve as a practical handbook for structural, civil, mechanical, and project engineers involved in steel structure projects. This second edition has been fully updated and expanded to provide clearer guidance, improved explanations, and additional practical information based on real site experience and industry practice.

One of the major challenges faced by engineers during steel structure construction is how to maintain and control quality on site, particularly during the inspection and acceptance of steel materials, welded connections, and bolted connections. Although steel structures are widely used in industrial and commercial projects, many engineering graduates still have limited exposure to practical welding inspection procedures, defect identification, and quality control methods during their academic studies.
