Step by Step into EPF: A Guide to Employees' Provident Fund is a comprehensive, user-friendly textbook on the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. Organised into five parts and nineteen chapters, it covers everything from the application of the Act to administration, products and services, exemptions and default management, with detailed explanations, legal references, and clarifications. This fully revised and updated edition offers a fresh perspective on PF law, catering to both new readers and those seeking deeper insight into the subject. First published in 2010, this edition meets the growing demand for an authoritative guide that simplifies complex laws for practical use.

Ram Niwas Bairwa, a retired Regional Provident Fund Commissioner from the Regional Office in Indore, brings over 28 years of experience in the field of Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) and labour laws. He earned a diploma in stenography and continued his education while serving. Over the years, he has authored sixteen books on various subjects, with his first book on the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952, published in 1994. For nearly eighteen years, he served as a faculty member at the Zonal Training Institute (West Zone) of the Employees' Provident Funds Organisation in Ahmedabad and Ujjain. His extensive interactions with EPF staff, workers and employers across different states have given him unique insights into social security and EPF matters, leading to new perspectives widely recognised and valued.
