Ganz im Sinne der Mengenlehre werden Schnittmengen zwischen Mathe und Mensch dargestellt, das Entstehen von Formeln und Erkenntnis einprägsam illustriert, die Strukturen der Rechenkunst elegant dem mathematischen Formalismus gegenübergestellt: eine inspirierende Quelle für jeden praktischen Theoretiker, jeden denkenden Beobachter auf der Suche nach - wie Hilbert es nennt - geistiger Durchdringung.

About The Author

Wolfgang Tzschoppe wurde 1942 in der Oberpfalz geboren. Nach dem Abitur und der Bundeswehrzeit studierte er die Fächer Sport und Mathematik für das höhere Lehramt. Vom Gymnasium kommend, beteiligte er sich am Aufbau und an der Durchführung des Gesamtschulversuchs in Hollfeld in der Fränkischen Schweiz (Bundesland Bayern). Die Schule hat sich inzwischen als Schule besonderer Art in der Region etabliert und genießt dort die volle Anerkennung. Der Autor ist verheiratet, hat zwei Söhne und zwei Enkelkinder. Dem ersten Enkelkind Jasmin hat er sein erstes Buch Jasmins Strukturen (2011) gewidmet. Sein zweites Buch "Struktur der Mathematik - Mathematik der Strukturen" hat er seinen zwei Söhnen Roman und Carsten gewidmet. Der Ältere der beiden benutzt als Diplomingenieur der Elektrotechnik die angewandte Mathematik, der Jüngere musste sich als Studienanfänger der Wirtschaftsmathematik mit den unbeliebten Existenzbeweisen und den abstrakten Theorien auseinandersetzen.
