In den vergangenen Jahrzehnten wurde viel über die Verbesserung von gro en Windkraftanlagen geforscht, und es gibt eine Fülle von Literatur zu diesem Thema. Im Vergleich zu gro en Windturbinenblättern wurden Blätter von kleinen Horizontalachsen-Windturbinen (SSHAWT) jedoch noch nicht eingehend untersucht, und es gibt nur sehr wenig Literatur zu SSHAWT-Blättern. In dieser Arbeit wurde ein Fluid-Struktur-Schnittstellenmodell erstellt, in dem das Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)-Modul zur Berechnung der aerodynamischen Kräfte verwendet wird und diese Lasten direkt als Last-Randbedingungen in das Finite-Elemente-Analyse (FEA)-Modul für die Blattstrukturanalyse importiert werden. Die FEA-Analyse wurde mit dem Modul ANSYS Static Structural und die CFD-Analyse mit dem Modul ANSYS Fluent durchgeführt. Das Blatt wurde auch einer Strukturanalyse unterzogen, die in zwei Phasen unterteilt wurde. Der erste Teil konzentriert sich auf die Bestimmung der optimalen Breite der Holmkappe unter den für die Studie gewählten Fällen. Im zweiten Teil soll die strukturelle Festigkeit verschiedener interner Stützquerschnitte von SSHAWT-Schaufeln bewertet und dann der beste ausgewählt werden.
