A true life story of an orphan's daughter who struggled to survive with a sick mother, who had no knowledge as to how to run a home, yet alone bring up five babies all alone. As orphaned at only three years old, having never being shown any affection, consequently was unable to give her children the loving care every child should have, plus being in ill health throughout her life, where most of the time she would spend in bed for years. So all five children just done whatever they could get away with to survive.this book tells how one of the children Donna, struggled throughout her life, and how her life has improved by following her heart to change her lifestyle despite lots of knock backs along the way.

Donna was born in 1956 in Hillingdon Hospital Middlesex; she is the eldest of five children who had struggled after her father left when she was just six and a half years old. As her mother suffered from ill health, Donna has a son Michael born 1973, just before her 17th birthday. She had to fight every step of the way to keep him, as the social services were on her back, due to her upbringing. They were trying to have her give him up for adoption because of the unsatisfactory conditions she was left in; this was once her mother went into the hospital. It was after her mother, had been diagnosed with a brain tumour. Which left Donna and her new baby with nowhere to live. her two Aunties both took the other children but, were not interested in taking on a young girl who was eight months pregnant. After being beaten up by her son's father, that left her unable to have any more children. Donna married a friend 1n 1974 solely to get away and to get a council house. this marriage lasted for nearly seven years. then Donna was swept off her feet by her knight in shining armour. She married for the second time in 1984, to her best friend and long-suffering husband Charles (Wally) who turned her life around. He saved her from a lifestyle she had come to know as normal; Even after her new husband Charles paid for five attempts at IVF. Unfortunately, they all ended at around twelve weeks of the pregnancies. Donna now lives in Gosport Hampshire, with her husband, they both decided on early retirement just over five years ago. So now they spend all their time together, doing what every and going whenever they like. especially taking long holidays to Goa, where they have made some wonderful friends. Plus, visiting family in Los Angeles, Donna was able to find lots of long lost family on Facebook.
