A collection of poems of love. Sweet Dreams is a departure from the rabid raunchy nature that characterizes so much of contemporary popular culture. The imagery is vivid not graphic, humorous when it's braggadocios, poignant but not pathetic, and tender even when it's down and dirty. Like most men, I started doing what I do to impress a woman. When she told me she liked poetry, I told her that I could write a poem and Sweet Dreams was born. For some reason I have always been able to write what I was too shy to say. Poetry allows me to complete my thoughts. Women have all of the power. Coming to work All Pumped Up, she knows what she's doing. When they ask you not to stare but looking is fine. A personal favorite of mine is when they act like they didn't know you were married. Being married allows you to be one step better than their gay buddy from college. Every woman wants to know that she still has "it". I find inspiration wherever I am. Work is a wonderful place to find many poetic bad ideas. Women at work fascinate me. In a day and age where compliments can be considered harassment, it is really difficult for a sexual being to be himself there. Frustration can lead to some very interesting ideas and poetry without proper nouns. Maybe it's your child's teacher. Perhaps it's the woman in the next cubical or even just an olfactory hallucination. Either way, we all have fantasies that will never be shared. You think to yourself about how nice it would be if only she knew... if only she could read your mind... if only she would notice my stare... if only I could make this rhyme. Please enjoy this book with someone you love, lust, or just like. Read it by yourself or better still, in a crowd so that everyone wonders why you're smiling.
