Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Theologie, Religionspädagogik, Note: 2, Universität Salzburg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die vorliegende Arbeit handelt von der Symboldidaktik, deren wichtigster Vertreter Hubertus Halbfas mit seinem Werk "Das Dritte Auge- religionsdidaktische Anstö e" den Grundstein für diese "Theorie" legt. Die Arbeit versucht die Stärken, aber auch die Schwächen dieser Didaktik darzulegen und so Klarheit über die Idee und Intension, die hinter dieser Didaktik steckt beizutragen. Vielleicht ein paar Worte dazu, warum wir dieses Thema gewählt haben und wie es uns bei der Aufbereitung dieser Arbeit ergangen ist. Anfangs waren wir ziemlich ratlos, da wir den Begriff "Symboldidaktik" noch nie gehört hatten und uns auch "Das Dritte Auge" vor ein Rätsel stellte. Auch die Recherche in der Bibliothek machte uns nicht wirklich klüger- bis wir dann das Buch "Das Dritte Auge- religionsdidaktische Anstö e" in den Händen hielten. Bereits beim durchlesen des Buchumschlages, auf den sich eine Erklärung des Dritten Auges befindet, war es als hielten wir den Schlüssel in die Welt der Symboldidaktik in den Händen. Uns wurde klar, dass Hubertus Halbfas nicht nur einer der wichtigsten Vertreter dieser Didaktik war, sondern den Urheber dieser Theorie darstellte. Die Welt der Symboldidaktik ist eine sehr faszinierende, die einem plötzlich einen ganz anderen Zugang und Schlüssel zu den SchülerInnen ermöglicht. Bei einfühlsa-men und vorsichtigen Umgang mit diesen neuen Erkenntnissen ermöglicht es dem/ der ReligionslehrerIn die Schüler aus ihrer Reserve zu locken und in "Ebenen" vorzudringen, die ansonsten meistens verschlossen bleiben. Hubertus Halbfas lehnt es strikt ab, Symbole rationell zu definieren. "Dort wo Symbole beschrieben oder übersetzt werden, sind sie schon um ihre Wirklichkeit gebracht." Mit der Symboldidaktik verhält es sich oft ähnlich, wie bei der Problematik der Rede von Gotteserfahrungen. Durch Sprache geschieht immer zugleich
