In einer Zeit, in der die Zahl der Hochschuleinrichtungen immer weiter zunimmt und eine Harmonisierung auf nationaler, regionaler und internationaler Ebene erforderlich ist, müssen Mechanismen geschaffen werden, die die Qualität der erbrachten Dienstleistungen garantieren. Zusammenfassend kommt die Studie zu dem Schluss, dass die interne Evaluierung in Hochschuleinrichtungen Veränderungen anregt, die zur Anhebung der Qualitätsstandards beitragen, weist jedoch darauf hin, dass bei der Selbstevaluierung die Verbreitung des Berichts an die akademische Gemeinschaft und die entsprechende kritische Bewertung von grundlegender Bedeutung sind und sorgfältig vorbereitet werden müssen, damit sich in der akademischen Gemeinschaft eine Evaluierungskultur entwickeln kann.
