L'objectif de cet ouvrage est d'introduire succinctement les techniques utilisées pour la conception des Systèmes Experts. Nous commençons au premier chapitre par la présentation des notions de base concernant l'intelligence artificielle. Dans le chapitre deux, nous aborderons la logique des propositions, la logique des prédicats et les méthodes de démonstration diverses (équivalences et réfutation). Le chapitre trois est consacré à la représentation du principe de fonctionnement des systèmes experts, de la base de faits, de la base de règles et du moteur d'inférence. Dans le chapitre quatre, le langage de programmation logique Prolog est succinctement approché, avec dans le chapitre cinq quelques exemples d'utilisation pour les démonstrations en logique des propositions ou en logique du premier ordre ainsi que dans l'élaboration des Systèmes Experts. Nous donnons dans le chapitre 6 les éléments informatiques permettant de développer un Système Expert avec une Interface Web. Pour appliquer les différents aspects abordés dans les divers chapitres, une série d'exercices est proposée pour conclure cet ouvrage.
