Der Schwerpunkt der Studienarbeit liegt auf den Systemischen Beratungsansätzen. Zuerst geht es darum, was ein System überhaupt ist und was man unter einer Systemischen Beratung versteht. Danach wird auf die verschiedenen Beratungsmethoden eingegangen. Zuerst geht es um das Zirkuläre Fragen, bei dem es vor allem darum geht, Informationen zu gewinnen und andere Wahrnehmungen zu sehen. Danach geht es um die Umdeutung, die auch Refraiming genannt wird. Hier geht es vor allem darum, Dinge anders zu deuten. Anschlie end wird kurz über das Reflecting-Team berichtet, bei dem die Betroffenen ihr eigenes Verhalten und ihre Handlungen sehen können. Des Weiteren wird auf die Methode Familienskulptur eingegangen. Hier sollen die Familienmitglieder in Form von Skulpturen die Wahrnehmung der anderen Familienmitglieder sehen und Lösungen suchen. Als letztes geht es ausführlich um die Methode Familienaufstellung. Nach den systemischen Methoden wird darauf eingegangen, was Sucht überhaupt ist und wie Systemisch an eine Suchtberatung herangegangen werden kann. Das Ziel der Studienarbeit ist es, der systemischen Denkweise näher zu kommen und zu verstehen, wieso sie sich bei vielen Problemen eignet.
