Diese Komplexit�t wird bei mehrstimmiger Musik, bei der sich mehrere Instrumente und Stimmen �berschneiden, noch deutlicher. Trotz dieser Herausforderungen wurden zahlreiche Techniken entwickelt, um Musik f�r Audioanwendungen effektiv zu verarbeiten. TabTracking untersucht Methoden zur Transkription von Musik in schriftliche Form, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf der Erfassung des Klangs einer E-Gitarre liegt. Es werden Techniken wie FFT, STFT, Spektrogramme, Skalogramme, Chroma-Darstellung, Spitzenerkennung und maschinelle Lernverfahren analysiert. Dar�ber hinaus wird eine Hardware-Implementierung in HDL vorgestellt, die einen FPGA verwendet. Ein Kernaspekt dieser Anwendung ist die Erzeugung von Gitarrentabs, einem numerischen Notationssystem, das angibt, welche Saite und welcher Bund auf der Gitarre gespielt wurde. M�gliche Anwendungsf�lle f�r diese Arbeit sind die Digitalisierung von Gitarrenspielen, bei denen Musiker Songs direkt durch das Spielen aufzeichnen k�nnen, anstatt die Tabulatur manuell einzugeben, oder eine Jam-Session, bei der spontane musikalische Ideen durch informelles, gemeinsames Musizieren mit anderen Musikern festgehalten werden k�nnen.
