Three is the magic number! Three is always the number that will give you luck, and three is the perfect amount of stories to tell about Holiday Lane! Sara, an 11-year-old thunderstorm coward, is home alone for the night when a mysterious booming thunder, louder than usual, startles her. She soon finds out the explosive thunder brings a Leprechaun! In "Bribe of the Leprechaun," read about Sara's fortune, and misfortune, with the Leprechaun! Kevin and Jordy couldn't be more different as brothers! But long bike rides and a disasterous mishap to Jordy bring the two boys together. Kevin does his best to help his little brother, for once, and does his best to be an admirable big brother. In "Mr. Horrace's Fantastical Shoppe of Masks," find out if Kevin's loving support is enough to save dear Jordy. The town of Applethy is at their wits end with this "flag seller." He stalks the town, trying to get people to buy his flags, and while he is at it, he sneaks into neighbor's yards and trash cans, planting flowers in parking lots in unofficial use, and leaving flags for unwanting custumers. But an unfortunate incident makes the townspeople reopen their eyes to this homeless man.

August Edwards is a twelve-year-old girl, and this is her third book. Her first book was "Marissa," and her second book was called "August Edwards's Book of Short Stories." She is in sixth grade, and, unlike many middle school kids, she is not finding the hectic, always changed, or revised schedules difficult or hard to follow at all. Currently, she is torn between "100 Cupboards" by N.D. Wilson and "Outliers" by Malcolm Gladwell as her favorite books. Her father, D.E. and his infamous sculptures, and her mother, Jackie, a valuable worker in her microbiology department, are the reasons why she is who she is. She insists her two little brothers, Rodman, 10, and Jon, 7, are no doubt the smartest and most creative in their classes, and they couldn't be more supportive and humorous and helpful when it comes to her career. She felt she only got better as a writer when she wrote this book.
