This anthology spinning off from the best selling series Nottingham, reunites series creators David Hazan and Shane Connery Volk, while also bringing diverse new talent into the world of Nottingham, including Eisner and GLAAD nominated writer Magdalene Visaggio (Kim & Kim, Eternity Girl, Doctor Mirage).
Tales from Nottingham explores untold stories from the twisted universe of Nottingham, including the secret origins of Robin Hood and the Merry Men, Marian's violent past, Aya of the Hashashin's first kill, and an ordeal that will shake Friar Tuck to his core. Never-before-seen mysteries confront Everard Blackthorne, the Sheriff of Nottingham, culminating in an investigation that will lead directly into the climactic events of Nottingham Vol. 3.Becton: - Damien Becton was born in Sumter, South Carolina and has been an avid comic book reader as long as he can remember. He has written self-published, creator-owned comics like WORLDS AWAY and the upcoming TRY NOT TO DIE. When he's not creating, he's an assistant principal at a middle school in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Bertoni: - He read comics since he was a kid, and as a teenager he felt he couldn't do anything but draw comics!
He lost sight of his goal for a while, but now, little by little, he's trying to put himself back on track!
Cooper: - Sabs Cooper has written for Syfy and Geeks OUT, was featured in A Wave Blue World's Dead Beats anthology, and is a co-creator of the series Finger Guns from Vault Comics. She also manages a book and comic shop in Bend, Oregon called Pegasus Books. When she's not writing, selling, or reading comics, she's creating little photo copied poetry zines, performing at stand-up comedy open mics, practicing witchcraft in her backyard, and rewatching Frasier. She shares a home with her two partners, three cats, a dizzying number of books, and one of the largest collections of Tenchi Muyo paraphernalia in North America.
Essex: - Dylan is a freelance writer of comic books and fiction. Born and raised in London, he grew up in dingy comic book shops where he developed a lifelong passion for telling stories. He has a Master's degree in Biology, and is currently studying Creative Writing. He was a winner of Mad Cave Studio's 2021 Talent Search, which led to his first published work. He is currently working on new self-published projects for 2023!
Everts: - Anna Everts is a comic writer from the Netherlands. They started writing professionally in 2020, if you don't count the self-published squirrel story they wrote in primary school. When they're not writing, they like to paint landscapes, make an attempt at reading their many unread books, and obsess over fictional characters from popular media. They describe themselves as chaotic neurodivergent, and like to collect rocks, trinkets, and on occasion, dead things.
Hazan, David: - David Hazan is a comic book writer and editor based in Melbourne, Australia. After winning the Mad Cave Studios 2019 Talent Search, David exploded onto the comics scene as writer and co-creator of the hit medieval noir comic series, Nottingham, which is now entering its third volume alongside multiple spin-offs. David has worked with a number of indie publishers on both work-for-hire and creator-owned stories, including BOOM! Studios, Mad Cave Studios and more. His work has been shortlisted for the Aurealis Awards and the Comic Arts Awards of Australia and has been featured in the New York Times and even in a question on Jeopardy!
Magat: - Rafael Romeo Magat is a Filipino illustrator and proud winner of the 2021 Mad Cave Studios Talent Search. He has been published in WinC Magazine, FutureQuake, Tales from the Quarantine, Five from Beyond and Jill Trent: Science Sleuth. For the first time ever, an entire 20 page story he drew will be available in comic book stores as part of the Mad Cave Studios series Tales from Nottingham.
Puerta: - Miguel worked in animation in México City and later at a local newspaper during the late 80s to early 90s. By mid the 90s, he started collaborating with local comic book studios in Monterrey, Mexico. He started his first professional gig in the early 2000s in mexican publications. From then on, Miguel has done artwork for many different independent U.S. publishers for both digital and physical publishings, now including Mad Cave.

He has collaborated with companies like Netflix, Fnac, Porsche, the Corvus Belli game company and artists like Deadmau5. His Polar quadrilogy, published by Dark Horse, has been adapted as an original Netflix movie production with Mads Mikkelsen and Vanessa Hudgens with a sequel in the works, while a number of his other works have been optioned and are in different stages of development. He is also currently working on new different IPs created by him for mediums like comics, TV and cinema.

Over the last 18 years, Volk's commanding stage presence and soaring vocal range has captivated fans. OBS has toured with Def Leppard, Judas Priest, and Shinedown, among many others, and landed a coveted spot on the 2019 Rolling Stones tour. In embracing the full spectrum of his art, Volk has also embarked on his career as a professional comic book artist, winning Mad Cave Studios talent search in 2019. His first series is the medieval noir Nottingham with publisher Mad Cave Studios. This five-issue series has become a hit, with each issue receiving multiple printings.
