English adapted edition of the original "Judo Tecnico - Un percorso formativo dalla pratica all'insegnamento". This is a manual for people approaching Judo for the first time and useful manual for Judo practitioners. The Judo Tecnico manual collects a series of notions that are otherwise difficult to find in a single publication. Therefore, it aims to be a valuable tool to support the teaching of Judo, as well as its practice. The text is useful for practitioners of every level and rank, for those who are preparing to undertake a training path aimed at teaching, or for anyone approaching this noble martial art-which is also an Olympic discipline-for the first time.

Di Pierro, Donato: - Donato Di Pierro, born in Trani (BA) in 1980, is an engineer who practices Judo for passion for over thirty years. He won the title of Regional Champion in Apulia for the Katame No Kata specialization, alongside Master Giulio Valente, his Uke, for the first time in 2006, and subsequently in 2007, 2008, 2011, and 2012. He is a Technical Instructor of Judo (FIJLKAM Apprentice Coach category) since 2004. He is a Regional Kata Referee for the Nage No Kata, Katame No Kata, and Kodokan Goshin Jutsu since 2008. On March 22, 2009, in Castiglion Fiorentino (AR), he won the Silver Medal at the Italian Kata Championships Final, the first national medal won by the Apulia region in an Italian Kata Championship, thus rightfully entering the history of Apulian Judo. He was later called up as an Athlete for the Italian Kata National Team, participating in the 2nd EJU-A International Tournament representing Italy on November 14, 2009, in Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD). On January 3, 2010, he achieved the rank of Judo Black Belt 3rd Dan. He actively contributed to the founding of the Kata Apulia Team.
