Die mehrbändige Technische Informatik bietet einen verständlichen Einstieg in dieses wichtige Teilgebiet der Informatik. Leser mit unterschiedlichen Vorkenntnissen gewinnen schrittweise einen Überblick über die in Studium und Beruf benötigten elektrotechnischen und elektronischen Grundlagen. Auf dieser Basis werden Komponenten und Strukturen von heutigen Computersystemen eingeführt. Für die 3. Auflage wurden weitere Aufgaben, besonders auch zu HADES, neu aufgenommen.

Der Übungsband dient zur Einübung und Vertiefung des in den Lehrbüchern Technische Informatik 1 und 2 dargebotenen Stoffes. Die Rechenaufgaben mit Lösungen beziehen sich vor allem auf die physikalischen Grundlagen. Die komplexeren Problemstellungen in der Computertechnik werden mit den Simulationsprogrammen gelöst, die die Autoren auf ihrer Homepage zur Verfügung stellen.

Wolfram Schiffmann

Geboren 1956 im Saarland. Nach dem Studium der Elektrotechnik an der Universität des Saarlandes arbeitete er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Universität Koblenz-Landau. Von 1983 bis 1988 war er als Lehrbeauftragter an der Universität des Saarlandes tätig. In Koblenz lehrte er von 1983 bis 2000 und habilitierte sich dort 1998 im Fachgebiet Technische Informatik. Seit Sommer 2000 ist er Professor im Fachbereich Informatik an der FernUniversität in Hagen.

Robert Schmitz

Geboren 1936 in Schönberg Kreis Bernkastel. Nach Studium der Pädagogik und Didaktik in Trier studierte er Physik und Astronomie an der Universität in Bonn. Von 1974 bis zu seiner Pensionierung im Jahre 2001 war er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter im Institut für Physik der Universität Koblenz -Landau in der Lehrerbildung tätig. Seit Einführung des Studiengangs Informatik in Koblenz lehrte er auch im Grundstudium Technische Informatik. Über einen Lehrauftrag ist er weiterhin im Bereich Technische Informatik tätig.

Jürgen Weiland

Geboren 1966 in Marl/Westfalen. Ab 1986 studierte er Elektrotechnik an der RWTH Aachen und seit 1988 Informatik an der Universität Koblenz-Landau. Dort war er bereits während des Studiums als Tutor Mitarbeiter am Institut für Physik. Aktuell leitet er dort nebenberuflich Übungen im Fachgebiet Technische Informatik. Hauptberuflich ist er seit 1996 Angestellter eines Unternehmens der medizinischen Informatik in Koblenz, wo er heute Bereichsleiter der Softwareentwicklung von human- und zahnmedizinischen Lösungen ist.
