Su tono, a veces letaníaco, a veces hímnico, de momento tierno y otras veces tan hosco que parece brotar del tedio, evoca las voces de los grandes maestros de la poesía de habla hispana como también la hondura conceptual de escritores y pensadores de estatura universal, y la hermosura de la obra de músicos inmortales. En su sintaxis palpitan Shakespeare, Vallejo, Neruda, Brecht, Proust, Nietzsche, Unamuno, pero también, Dmitri Shostakóvich, Antonín Dvorák y Edvard Grieg, entre otros.

Temblor en el vacío evidencia un temprano, pero vasto dominio del lenguaje, primer compromiso de un artífice de la palabra, como también un repertorio temático revelador de una exquisita sensibilidad, y más aun, de una particular forma de abordaje de la complejidad existencial del tiempo presente y los desafíos del mundo actual, para un individuo cada vez más desprovisto de recursos que le permitan, como de hecho aspira, reencontrarse con la belleza de la naturaleza y consigo mismo, o bien, abrirse sin reparos al otro en la aventura del amor. Versos inquisidores y de limpia factura, en líneas sueltas o en bloque, sustentan la arquitectura de este poemario.

Cuando leí este libro, cobró fuerzas en mí, nuevamente, la esperanza de contar, en el futuro próximo, con voces trascendentes en la poesía dominicana.
