The Commentator thinks, judges, controls, and doubts. The Doer plays, feels, reacts, and executes. When the Commentator becomes too loud, the Doer loses space. When both learn to work together better, more freedom emerges in the game.

This book shows how players can learn to play less against themselves and more with themselves. It is about concentration, trust, perception, technique, habits, match pressure, the joy of playing, and the question of what is really being played on a tennis court.
