He is a member of Indian Council of world Affairs, Indian Institute of Transitional Studies, etc. As a thinker, he is unusually free from ideological, regional, linguistic and any other prejudices. He is amazingly flexible and innovative in his work. In his long and distinguished career, he has published many books and articles, addressed many national an international conference, seminars and meetings and received many hounours. He has known many politicians and public figures closely but stays scrupulously away from politics.
