It explores how a family-loving grandmother led the march in gathering her siblings annually so that all could rejoice in being together and that love could once again be shared. The book tells the story of those years, and how you can have a well-planned reunion that gets results and can be cost-free. The Hardin story will inspire you in planning your family gathering, either for the first time, or to improve your current get-togethers. Scores of pictures and examples offer the reader the best available methods in producing your next family reunion. Ron and Geri Hardin were reared in the 1940s and 1950s, children of tenant farmers in West Texas when times were lean and often even hard. But with that environment came many positive lessons to be learned. One of the lessons was to know there was no greater aspect of life than to be surrounded by the warmth of a loving family. With only meager finances they married early, after dating all through high school, and worked their way through Howard Payne University. Ron received his BS in the field of education with majors in journalism and English and gained employment in the newspaper business, later becoming publisher of his own newspaper. Being somewhat of an accomplished athlete, Ron, with Geri's assistance, over the years have put together a sports memorabilia collection with a million pieces which has been viewed by many sports groups in the community. Active in their church and the community gave the couple inspiration to share their successful experiences of how a loving family can flourish and enjoy the fellowship of family reunions.
