Lon Bennett Glenn is a retired Texas warden, a criminal justice professional with three decades of experience in the field. He has taken up writing as a second career and published three books, both fiction, and non-fiction since 2001. His well received "Texas Prisons: The Largest Hotel Chain in Texas," is being used today as a reference to Texas prison historical events. Glenn takes the reader through a half century of evolution in the criminal justice arena. "Blue Water Highway," is the exciting fictional account of two Texas lawmen who travel into perilous Texas territory to solve a murderous rampage by drug dealers bent on the reconquest of the Southwest United States by invaders from Mexico. The current book, Texas Prison Tales, is the long awaited sequel to the Largest Hotel Chain in Texas. More anecdotal and conversational than Hotel Chain, it is both graphic and informative. Glenn discusses little-known events from an inside perspective that allows the reader to get a feel for what the environment was like to work inside a Texas prison during that era.
