Usha Ukande PhD, MSc (OBG), is the former Principal of Chothram College of Nursing, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. She is also editor of the Indian Journal of Nursing Studies, President NRSI, SOMI Indore Chapter. She has published and presented more than 30 scientific papers and contributed a chapter to the book Nursing Research and Statistics published by a reputed publishing house. She had been awarded Hall of Fame by Nursing Honor Society of India 2004, Best All Round Student Nurse, 1971, University Gold Medal, BSc (N), MSc (N). Last but not least, Professor Ukande promotes research activities among PG students using qualitative and mixed methods with a view to ensure holistic health of populations.
Jaideep Herbert PhD (Ssh.), MSc (MSN), is presently working in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer at Vidyanta Skills Institute, Medical Simulation Center, Gurugram, Haryana. He received first rank in Baccalaureate from Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. He did his master’s in nursing with concentration in cardiovascular and thoracic Nursing from Devi Ahilya University, Indore. The author has expertise in writing curriculums for healthcare crash courses and specialty courses. In addition, he is developing training curriculum and providing training in a simulation and skills learning center as per the ICI & NABH standards. He is an International American Heart Association certified Instructor and also a certified NABH entry-level assessor. He is an Expert from India for World Skills Olympics (Health & Social Care sector) and an International Jury for World Skills Competition.
Shweta Pattnaik MSc (MSN), RN, RM, BSN, is currently working as a Professor and Head, MSN Department at Chothram College of Nursing, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. She completed her MSc (N) in MSN (Cardiovascular Thoracic Nursing) from Chothram College of Nursing, Indore. As a clinical coordinator, her responsibilities include supervision and provision of effective clinical skills to nursing students. She is a leading program coordinator for internship programs, newly recruited staff nurses, project SPUN-strengthening practices upskilling nurses, project CTP-continuing training program for staff nurses at Chothram Hospital & Research Center, Indore. She has received grant from Government organizations, i.e., Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for organizing conferences. Last but not least, she has presented and published research papers at national and international levels and is a recipient of best paper and poster awards.
Anil Sharma PhD, MSc (MSN), is presently working in the capacity of Professor and Principal of Manikaka Topawala Institute of Nursing, a constituent of CHARUSAT University, Anand, Gujarat. He is a qualified cardiothoracic nurse, completed his BSc (N) in year 2004 and MSc in medical-surgical area with cardiothoracic specialization in 2009. He has 16 years of academic, clinical and health research experience. He joined Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT) in 2010 as a lecturer and contributed exhaustively to academics, clinical training and health research. Last but not least, he is widely involved in designing of curriculum of bachelor and master of science in nursing in various other universities of India.
