Textbook of Dental Materials has been inspired by teaching the subject of dental materials for almost two decades to a number of students. The basic aim is to introduce and simplify the complex subject of dental materials for young graduate students. It also aims to provide a comprehensive overview of each topic covering composition, classification, properties, manipulation, and uses. Important notes, reasoning questions and clinical considerations are provided in color-coded boxes for easy reference. Key terms are provided at the start of each chapter to introduce important terms in that chapter. Similarly, a summary is provided at the end of each chapter for quick revision in color-coded boxes. At the end of chapters of clinical relevance clinical-based questions are provided with clinical situations where students can relate and apply the knowledge gained in the chapter. A cumulative list of essay questions and short notes is given at the end of each chapter to prepare students for various university examinations. Additionally, there are MCQ-based questions to equip dental students for various competitive examinations. This book contains 33 chapters written sequentially and divided into eight sections based on the purpose of each material. Another highlight of the book is the Online Quick Revision Chart which includes various materials commonly asked in examinations for quick revision before the final examinations. Additionally, online resources for both students and instructors are provided along with this book in the form of multiple-choice questions, including image-based questions, and PowerPoint presentations, respectively.
