Dermatology has emerged as an important field in the recent years. Skin diseases account for a large proportion of the cases coming to physicians. The vast array of symptoms and clinical presentations of skin conditions highlight the need for proper diagnosis and appropriate investigations.
This book provides the details of common skin diseases written in a simple language, well supported by clinical photographs taken by the author himself. The expected natural course of the disease and etio-pathogenic mechanisms has been described in each chapter. The possible line of management of the diseases has also been elaborated. Split into 24 chapters, the initial two chapters of the book have been devoted to structure and functions of the skin, and its history and examination respectively. The subsequent 22 chapters deal with the diseases classified according to their etiological basis.
The present book will undoubtedly serve the educational need of the undergraduate students as well as be useful to the general physicians in their day-to-day practice.
