Ramji Gupta is a Senior Consultant Dermatologist at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital. He had earlier worked in the Department of Dermato-Venereology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

He has passion for writing and research. Among his six books on dermatology, two books co-authored by him, i.e., Multiple Choice Questions in Dermatology and Venereology (3rd edition) and illustrated Textbook of Dermatology (3rd edition), are very popular among the undergraduate medical students and practitioners. Recently published, Comprehensive Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases, is another popular book with undergraduates. Skin and Hair in Health and Diseases: Some Truth, Some Myth (English and Hindi) is a masterpiece for educating general public. He has also authored a book for Homeopaths entitled Textbook of Dermatology for Homeopaths (3rd edition, Spanish). His other recently published book Leucoderma is an exclusive monogram for dermatologists and general public to have in-depth knowledge about the disease of white patches. He has published more than 70 research papers in various national and international journals. His co-pioneering work, dexamethasone-cyclophosphamide pulse therapy (DCP) has proved to be curative for the treatment of pemphigus and other auto-immune disorders. It has been recognized at national and international level.
