Hoffmann, Der Sandmann., Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Wer Literaturdebatten in den Feuilletons aufmerksam verfolgt, wei , dass es dabei nur selten um Literatur, um den Text allein geht. Der deutsch- deutsche Literaturstreit um Christa Wolfs "was bleibt" etwa war nicht blo eine Auseinandersetzung um Wolfs literarischen Text, sondern bestand aus ideologischen Grenzmarkierungen. In der Debatte um Günter Grass' "Beim Häuten der Zwiebel" ging es weniger um den literarischen Text, denn um die Glaubwürdigkeit eines Autors. Und die kritischen Auseinandersetzungen mit Peter Handkes Texten, um ein weiteres Beispiel zu nennen, waren oft eher politisch motiviert denn ästhetisch. "'Der Text, der Text allein', sagt man uns, aber den Text allein gibt es nicht", wusste schon Roland Barthes. Man kann nicht über den Gegenstand Text an sich sprechen oder schreiben, sondern nur über die eigene Lektüre, denn nur über diese ist der Text greifbar. Insofern haben Literaturkritiker nicht nur mit dem Text zu tun, sondern auch mit sich selbst. Dann steht ein Text nie im luftleeren Raum, sondern in einer wie auch immer (ästhetisch, politisch, ideologisch, religiös...) gestalteten und den Text und die Lektüre prägenden Welt. Da man, wie Wittgenstein lehrt, die Sätze überwinden muss, um die Welt richtig zu sehen, kann hier auf derlei intellektuelle Theorieverirrung nicht eingegangen werden, und wenn schon, dann höchstens mit Donald Duck: Seufz!" Zuerst aber sei in diesem Rahmen auf Wilhelm Dilthey (*18. Nov. 1833 bei Wiesbaden + 1. Okt. 1911 i. Seis Südtirol), hauptsächlich in der akademischen Philosophie bekannt, sei auf seine Veröffentlichung der Studie "Das Erlebnis und die Dichtung" eingegangen.
