From War to Faith is the powerful life story of Daniel Gatluak Puot Well, a South Sudanese community leader whose journey reflects resilience, faith, and dedication to unity.

Born in South Sudan during a time of conflict, Daniel experienced the destruction of his village and the hardships of civil war. Forced to flee his homeland, he traveled through refugee camps before eventually arriving in the United States of America in 1990.

Through perseverance, faith in God, and a commitment to education, Daniel built a new life while continuing to serve his community. Over the years, he became a respected community leader, serving as President of the South Sudanese Community in Sioux Falls and later as President of the South Sudanese Community of Minnesota, representing members from all 64 tribes of South Sudan.

In this memoir, Daniel shares lessons about leadership, faith, forgiveness, and the importance of unity among people who have endured hardship and conflict. His story is not only a personal testimony but also a message of hope for future generations.

This book invites readers to reflect on the power of faith, the responsibility of leadership, and the possibility of peace and reconciliation for South Sudan and its people.

About The Author

Well, Daniel Gatluak Puot: - My name is Daniel Gatluak Pout Well. I was born in Nasir, Upper Nile region, South Sudan. I thank God, who created me from my mother's womb and from my father's blood in South Sudan, because I went through a lot. But I am alive because of God. I had seen a lot of people being forced to join the army against their will, and underage children in 1984. Now I see some people who forget God's help after God saved their life when they came to America, where they can worship God freely. Now some of them go to church once every three months or maybe once a month. They forget what their Creator has done for them.
