But when they come upon a grisly murder scene and the trail of three escaped-convict killers, Roz realizes that her only chance to survive the imminent showdown and to reunite with her true love lies in her ability to separate Don Valiente's madness from the eternal truths in his teaching.

About The Author

John A. Aragon was born in Española, New Mexico. A former Forest Service "Hotshot" firefighter and Hall of Fame rugby player, he attended Saint John's College in Santa Fe and the University of New Mexico. Mr. Aragon is the father of two young adults and a practicing trial lawyer for thirty years. His first novel, Billy The Kid's Last Ride, was published by Sunstone Press in 2011. He works and writes in Santa Fe.

Mary W. Walters is an award-winning author of three novels, The Woman Upstairs (NeWest Press, 1987), Bitters (NeWest, 1999) and Rita Just Wants to Be Thin (2014) as well as a collection of short stories (Cool, River Books, 2000). She has won a Writers Guild of Alberta Award for Excellence in Writing, and her short fiction has been short-listed for such prizes as the CBC/Saturday Night Fiction Competition and the Journey Prize, and has been published in more than a dozen literary journals and magazines. She is also the author of Write an Effective Funding Application: A Guide for Researchers and Scholars (The Johns Hopkins University Press, 2009). She lives in Toronto.
