Blackaller, Carrie Ann: - Carrie Ann Blackaller is a professor emerita, California State University, Dominguez Hills. She taught special education content/methods courses and served as Special Education and Graduate Education department chairs, California State Intern Grant Program director, and a Bureau of Institutional Reviewer for the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Her research, publications, and presentations focuses on special education curriculum, credential and master's degree programs, evaluation, and professional development for mentors. Prior to her university appointment, she was a K-12 teacher, a special education administrator, and a social worker.

Lal, Shirley R.: - Shirley R. Lal is a professor emerita, California State University, Dominguez Hills. She taught educational psychology courses and served as the college Director of Evaluation and co-chair for the National Accreditation of Teacher Education. She served as acting director for the Center of Teaching and Learning, chair for the university Student Learning Outcomes Assessment and Diversity Committee, and cochair of the WASC accreditation process. Prior to her experience in higher education, she was a secondary teacher, counselor, administrative dean, and assistant principal. Her research focus is program evaluation.
