The purpose of this book is therefore twofold. Second, it aims to contextualize these developments within the specific geopolitical, economic, and security setting of Pakistan and the wider Global South.

Each chapter integrates conceptual rigor with empirical relevance, ensuring accessibility for students of international relations, strategic studies, public policy, and technology governance. At the same time, the recommendations and frameworks provided throughout the book are crafted to support governments, institutions, and practitioners who grapple with the practical challenges of managing AI responsibly and strategically.
