The Aurora of Henri de Lintaut or Linthaut, Lord of Mont-Lion and Doctor of Medicine, exists in only one manuscript now in Paris, dating to the late 16th or early 17th century.

It explores the alchemical process of making gold in great detail, through a series of well described experiments, using known chemical substances such as acids, various forms of Mercury and Sulphur, Tartar, Vinegar, Sal Ammoniac, as well as some materials, specific to de Lintaut, the Sugar of Lunaria, the Crown, the Star, the Fish, the Phoebus of the Philosophers and many others.

The manuscript contains a number of pen drawn emblems that illustrate key ideas in the text.

Henri de Lintaut is of the opinion that one needs to work with gold to create the Philosophers' Stone.

From the depth of detail in the experiments, it would seem possible to attempt to replicate these.

A commentary on Lintaut's work was printed in 1610.
