Windy City Times, Chicago's LGBT newspaper is marking Richard Knight, Jr.'s 10th anniversary as their film critic with The Best of Knight at the Movies, a collection of Knight's movie reviews from 2004-2014. Written from the author's queer perspective, the book includes more than 150 film reviews and essays covering every movie genre. Gay icon Bruce Vilanch has said about the collection, "If Fred Phelps were alive he'd picket this book!"

Richard Knight, Jr. has been the film critic for Windy City Times since May of 2004. He is a frequent contributor to the movie section of the Chicago Tribune and has written for the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Reader and New City. He is the author of three previous collections of film reviews. In 2009 Knight formed the Queer Film Society, a non-profit comprised of openly gay film critics, academics and film historians. The mission of the QFS is to support queer cinema whenever possible. In 2012 he co-wrote, co-directed and co-produced the indie film "Scrooge & Marley," a modern day, gay variation on "A Christmas Carol." In 2013 he was the Programming Director for Reeling: The Chicago LGBT International Film Festival. Knight is a member of the Gay & Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association and the Chicago Film Critics Association. www.knightatthemovies.com
