The Book of Nurture, by John Russell, is a 19th-century compilation of three medieval texts on manners and etiquette. The first section is Russell's own work, which offers advice to young boys on how to behave properly in various social situations. The second section, The Book of Keruynge, was written by Wynkyn de Worde and focuses on table manners and how to properly carve and serve food. The final section, also titled The Book of Nurture, was written by Hugh Rhodes and covers a wide range of topics, including how to dress, how to behave in church, and how to treat one's superiors.
