The Book of Short Tales leads the reader on a journey from the plains of Hell to the magic of sorcery to a future both exciting and frightening. This collection of short tales ranges from horror, revenge, sorcery, science fiction, and lessons learned. The author masterfully weaves emotions and genres, leaving the reader to disentangle the web. With tales for every genre preference, no reader will be left unsatisfied. Due to the subject matter of this book, it is intended for mature audiences only. By the author's estimation, the subject matter should be considered rated-R by U. S. film rating standards.

Paul Wisdom made his literary debut with his release of "The Book of Short Tales." This mixed genre book with its many twists and turns, is a great primer for his forthcoming novels. His cleaver plot twists, with his sprinkling of dry humor, and his chilling accounts of horror, can lead readers down the proverbial rabbit hole only to have them emerge in some distant and unknown paradise or a dark, dystopian future. Having graduated top of his class from the School of Hard Knocks, Paul is an apprentice-trained heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration technician. What that means is that he does not write by any formula or style learned in a class room or conference. Paul writes by the old adage, "Those that can, do, and those that can't, teach." This means his works do not crank themselves out via insert character, insert location, add a protagonist, and shake well. While Paul's works can be dark, disturbing, and menacing-sometimes at the same time-they can also be light and quite humorous while being filled with social commentary. Paul makes his home with his high school sweetheart and dedicated wife in the wild lands of Southern Suburbia.
