Orazio is not just any cat. Behind his magnetic emerald green eyes lies extraordinary intelligence and access to a secret realm: The CatVerse, a parallel dimension where animals communicate telepathically, organize secret missions, and observe humans with philosophical curiosity.
His human, Gisella, works in a communications agency and leads a seemingly ordinary life, divided between professional commitments and her great passion: motorcycle trips with her friends. What Gisella doesn't know is that her every move is monitored, analyzed, and sometimes even influenced by her seemingly lazy domestic feline and his network of animal informants.
When Gisella is entrusted with an important professional project for PetTech, a company that develops technological devices for pets, the balance of the CatVerse is threatened. These new devices could inadvertently reveal the existence of the secret dimension of animals, leading to unpredictable consequences. Orazio and the Council of Elders, composed of the wisest animals in the area, must find a way to sabotage the project without Gisella noticing their intervention.
The situation becomes more complicated when Gisella and her friends plan a motorcycle trip to Tunisia. Despite the risks, Orazio organizes a clandestine mission: he and some trusted animal companions-including Dana, Severina's Akita Inu, Merlino, a mysterious dark cat, and Arturo, a wise and vain Persian-secretly board the same ship bound for Tunis, determined not to lose sight of their humans.
Among the dunes of the Tunisian desert, in the alleys of the ancient medina, in remote oases, our animal heroes experience extraordinary adventures, forge alliances with local wildlife, face unexpected dangers, and discover clues about a deeper connection between The CatVerse and the human world. At the same time, Gisella and her friends live their own adventure, unaware of their furry guardians following them in the shadows.
Upon their return to Italy, the PetTech project enters a crucial phase, and Orazio must decide how much to risk to protect the secrets of The CatVerse. During this crisis, he begins to notice strange details in Gisella's "friends," sensing a mystery that even his access to the parallel dimension cannot fully explain.
In a crescendo of adventures that will take them from Egypt to the Tuscan hills, from the Langhe to even more exotic worlds, Orazio and Gisella navigate parallel realities, each in their own way. He through The CatVerse, she through the stories she tells and the different versions of herself she presents to the world.
The CatVerse is a novel that combines adventure, humor, and philosophical reflection, exploring the many facets of reality through the penetrating gaze of a cat who understands humans better than they understand themselves. It is a celebration of interspecies love, an investigation into the fluid nature of truth, and an invitation to look beyond the veil of appearance to discover the magic hidden in everyday life.
