The Collected Short Works of Lt. Col. John G. Yenchar presents a series of five short well-done biographical sketches of Civil War generals: James Longstreet, Phil Sheridan, George Thomas, William T. Sherman, and JEB Stuart. Also included is a descriptive travel diary of excursions done by Col. Yenchar. John Yenchar graduated from Princeton University and was a career Reserve Officer in the United States Army.

Clark T. Thornton is an avid family historian and Civil War buff with several published books. He was born in Virginia but grew up in Atlanta, Ga. In 1969 he joined the United States Marine Corps as a private and received a "mustang" commission as 2nd Lt. in 1970. He served three tours of active duty in Guantanamo Bay (GITMO) Cuba before leaving the Reserve Corps as a captain in 1979. In the early 90's he began writing family history and more recently, he has published several volumes of Longstreet family history.
