The story takes us through the life of Evelyne. Even though her mother is disowned by her family, she works very hard to bring Evelyne up decently. Just when every aspect of her life seems to be smiling at her, a fortuitous encounter with an old friend will transform her perfect life into a theatre of lies, treason, blackmail, and consequently, death. Faced with her responsibilities, Evelyn gets highly depressed. She abandons her life of comfort and returns to her mother's side. She spends more and more time dreaming and flying. She rediscovers her true self before embracing the new realm.
