Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’Creativity: So far, more than four dozen poetry collections, fiction collections and novels have been published. The collection of poems ‘Ae Watan Tere Liye’ has been translated into Tamil and Telugu; collection of stories ‘Khade Hue Prashna’ into Tamil, Marathi and French; ‘Bas Ek Hi Ichchha’, ‘Prateeksha’ and ‘Tum Aur Main’ in German; ‘Bheed Sakshi Hai’ has been translated into English. Several books translated into fourteen Indian regional and foreign languages. Research work on his literature is currently going on in many universities—13 Ph.Ds already done on his works.Honours: Honoured three times in Rashtrapati Bhavan for outstanding literary work on patriotic endeavours. Conferred Honorary Degree of ‘Doctor of Science’ and ‘D. Litt.’. Honoured by Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha and Tamil Nadu Hindi and Bhasha Sangam, Chennai for creating excellent literature.
