This debut novel is the first of the Devil's Playground series, and will be followed with Burned out Paradise and Angel of a Small Death. JR Rothwell does not take popular demand into consideration when writing nor what others think and will tell it how it is straight from the heart. This writing is about actual life, tangible pain, real emotion. Publishers advised JR Rothwell that The Devil's Grip is too dangerous and motivating which is not what they are looking for, and that they would prefer to go with something safer.
